The trip to Gandhi Ashram and Kalamkhush Handmade Paper Centre was one filled with inspiration and beauty. It made USLA students realize that art is not only found in beautiful gardens and luxurious surroundings, but also in a printing factory like Kalamkhush and in historical places like Gandhi Ashram. Meticulous display of Gandhji’s work and the day-to-day activities that occur today in the Paper factory show that heritage and ideologies of the past can be preserved and cherished in modern times. Apart from cherishing the beautiful artistry of Gandhi Ashram, the students were also busy with their practical assignment on photography. They interacted with the locals to gather as much information possible to prepare in-depth essays on the topic later.
